ESAN NORTH-EAST CHAIRMAN, HON. SATURDAY IYOHA, RESTRATEGIZES ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION AND SECURITY FOR A CLEANER, SAFER UROMI-UZEA

The Esan North-East Local Government Council on Saturday, September 26th, 2026, successfully observed its monthly general environmental sanitation exercise across Uromi and Uzea, in a renewed drive to ensure public health, cleanliness and community safety. The Executive Chairman of Esan North-East Local Government Area, Hon. Amb. Prince Saturday Iyoha, personally led the comprehensive monitoring and enforcement tour across major sectors of the Local Government. He was accompanied by the Head of Department for Environment, Mrs. Tina Ighedosa, and heads of other administrative departments. The joint inspection was aimed at ensuring that the Uromi-Uzea metropolis remains clean, safe and secure for residents and visitors. As EDOHIC Expands Coverage Across Three Senatorial Districts In a major boost to Governor Monday Okpebholo’s drive for Universal Health Coverage, the Edo State Health Insurance Commission (EDOHIC), in partnership with the Rabiu Olowo Foundation, has enrolled 200 Sickle Cell Warriors into the Edo State Health Insurance Scheme. The beneficiaries - 100 from Edo South, 50 from Edo Central and 50 from Edo North- will now enjoy access to affordable, quality healthcare without financial hardship. The Pentecostal Archbishop of EsanLand, Archbishop Dr. Anthony Okosun, has urged the people of Edo State, and particularly EsanLand, to “ arise and shine” in support of Governor Monday Okpebholo, popularly known as 'Akpakomuza for the developmental strides being recorded across the state. Archbishop Okosun made the call on Sunday, 6th September 2026,  at the 15th Anniversary Celebration of The Four Wings of God Gospel Church, Ekpoma. The event, hosted by the church’s President and Founder, Apostle Dr. Vincent Ose, brought together nearly all Pentecostal Bishops and Pastors in EsanLand.
