Why Am Contesting the Chairmanship Position of Esan North-East- Enaluna
An aspirant for the chairmanship position of Esan North- East Local Government Council, Mr. Endurance, has advanced reasons why he's vieing for the position of chairman of Esan North-East Local Council in the forth coming Edo State local government elections.
He assured the electorate in the local government area of his desire to take his philanthropy further by ensuring that the resources of the local council are judiciously utitised to alleviate the plight of the people and meet their aspiration of living a better life.
Endurance made this known while he was speaking with journalists in his Uromi country home on why he wants to be the next democratically elected chairman of Esan North-East Local Government Area Council.
Endurance, a 2013 graduate of the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, who is presently awaiting the award of his master's degree having completed all the required academic works; is an honest enterpreneur who is a major player in the nation's down stream sector of the oil and gas sub-sector of the economy .
Relating his sojourn in Turkey where his enterpreneursl and managerial skills were deployed, Endurance said, "I was working in a gas company in Turkey where I eventually rose to to became a partner and engaged in linking and assisting Nigerian businessmen to establish gas plants in Nigeria, and introducing their products to Nigerians. That was how I garnered the experience to establish my own gas plant here in Uromi which is presently employing some of our youths".
Endurance who also runs a foundation has been using the platform of the foundation to give out scholarships, share exercise books and other school materials to indegent pupils and students; pay JAMB enrollment fees for students as well as pay agreement fees for skill acquisition apprenticeship.
According to him, "I love people around me and I don't want to see people suffering; I don't want to see people's progress retarded because of lack of money to pursue their dreams, hence I decided to establish a foundation.
"In the cause of using my foundation to assist people, give out palliatives during Christmas and the Covid-19 pandemic lock down, I discovered that the work of empowering our people is enomous and beyond the personal resources I generate from my business, and will not be enough to assist our people, hence am seeking the office of the chairman of Esan North-East Local Government Council to enable me deploy public funds in the area for their optimum benefits", he said.
While enumerating what distinguishes him from the over twenty other aspirants jostling for the position of chairman of Esan North-East Local Government Area Council in the upcoming local government eletion, Endurance said, "I've already made a difference, it's not by age or size. Our political leaders and the electorate will differentiate me from the other aspirants because of what I've been doing for the people.
"I assure the electorate of my commitment to deliver the dividends of democracy to them at their door step. Am assuring them that they'll realise their purpose of voting me into office when elected as their chairman", he said.
