EDO CENTRAL APC INAUGURATES CAMPAIGN COUNCIL

The Edo Central Senatorial District of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), yesterday inaugurated its district campaign team for the 2023 general elections coming soon.
The event which took place at the General Cecil Event Center Irrua in Esan Central Local Government area of Edo State,
drew the attention of prominent personalities in the party in the state.
In his address at the event, the State party chairman, Col David Imuse Rtd, told party faithfuls that the time has come for Esan to take its rightful place in the scheme of things in Edo Politics.
"Today is a demonstration of our resolve to make Esan to be recognized in the scheme of things in Edo politics. It is a demonstration of our resolve to throw out PDP and the OBIdient people."
He said the inaugurated people are to lead the process but every member of the party should consider themselves as canvassers including himself.
He further added that, "today we decided that in Esanland, things must turn around for good and that is why we have carefully selected this team that would drive the process of taking over power from the ruling party PDP in Edo state, and dislodging the OBIdient people from Esanland and that is why we, after diligent consultations with stake holders of the party, have decided to inaugurated a competent team to be headed by Rt. Hon. Patrick Ikhariale who is tested and trusted.
He advised that similar campaign councils be replicated in the local governments areas and wards up to the Units levels so that everyone will drive the process of actualizing the dream of electoral victory in the coming elections not by accident but by design of hard work and dedication.
He therefore advised all the members having cases in the courts to immediately withdraw such cases assuring that all those who contested but lost would be adequately compensated stressing that no members of the party would go to court with any candidate to testify and as such, advised that such cases should be withdrawn within the next two weeks, he concluded.
Speaking to the Press at the event, Chief Francis Inegbeniki pointed out that the gathering of the APC bigwig was to come up with a capable team that would drive the campaign process which he described as "evangelism of a campaign" that is put together to change the narrative and take back power from the PDP from the five local governments areas of the District back to the APC, adding that to achieve that task "which must be done," was the essence of coming together to put up a formidable team headed by Rt Hon. Patrick Ikhariale for the actualisation of that goal.
Also speaking with the press at the venue of the inauguration, the APC candidate for the Senate, Hon. Monday Okpebholo, aka, Akpakomiza, told the Press that the event was significant because it is for the party to put up a formidable council of competent and capable personalities of proven integrity, people of high esteem, grass root mobilizers to drive the dynamics of the campaign processes for the actualisation of electoral victory for the esan people.
Still speaking he said, "Esan people want change and that desired change is the reason why we are gathered today to put up a team that would drive that process of taking back power from the peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in all the five local governments areas in Esan land".
"Esan is saying we want to move forward, they want good things and with hard work and prayers, and with the zeal of our people which you can see all around you in their faces, God will guide our campaign processes and victory is assured so that through diligent representations, the good things Esan people want can be achieved" he concluded.
