APC IGUEBEN DISMISSES FALSE ENDORSEMENT CLAIMS, AFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR LUCKY ESEIGBE’S ONE-TENURE ASPIRATION
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igueben Local Government Area, under Rt. Hon. Ephraim Aluobhosele, has strongly dismissed reports claiming the party structure has endorsed a particular aspirant ahead of the forthcoming political contest.
Reacting to the development, Rt. Hon. Aluobhosele described the claim as entirely unfounded and not reflective of any formal decision by the party leadership in Igueben. He stressed that no such endorsement was made at any recognized meeting or through any official party channel, and warned against the spread of politically sensitive misinformation.
He characterized the rumor as a product of informal and unserious conversations, stating that it belongs in the category of “beer parlour discussions” with no bearing on the structured leadership of the APC in the LGA.
Rt. Hon. Aluobhosele reiterated that the APC in Igueben remains guided by discipline, consultation, and due process in all its internal political engagements. No individual or group has the authority to unilaterally announce endorsements on behalf of the party structure.
Reaffirming the Party’s Position
He declared the full support of the Igueben APC leadership for the aspiration of Sir Dr. Lucky Eseigbe, noting that the party remains united behind a transparent and orderly political process anchored on collective decision-making.
He urged party members and the public to disregard unverified claims and await only official communications from recognized party organs, adding that the integrity of the APC in Igueben will not be compromised by speculative or socially circulated narratives.
Commends Development Strides in Igueben College of Education
Rt. Hon. Aluobhosele also commended Barr. Lucky Eseigbe for his role as a pillar in the development of Igueben College of Education. With support from stakeholders like Barr. Eseigbe, His Excellency Governor Monday Okpebholo recently approved the release of N100 million monthly for the maintenance of the college.
"As we speak, many projects are ongoing. People are working day and night, and the impact is visible. The Governor has also promised to increase the subvention to the College,”he said.
Speaking as Chairman of the Governing Council, Hon. Aluobhosele noted: _“When I assumed office, we had just 70 students in the college. Today, less than a year later, we have over 700 students. By September, by God’s grace, we are targeting 2,000 students.”
He expressed appreciation to Governor Okpebholo for reviving Edo’s education sector, stating that the College had “totally collapsed” during the eight years of the Obaseki administration.
"So, when people say Governor Okpebholo has done nothing for Igueben, they are not informed. We must appreciate what he has started. Don’t be in a haste, and stop spreading beer parlour news,”_ he added.
Charge to Barr. Eseigbe
Hon. Aluobhosele urged Barr. Eseigbe to remain focused on his National Assembly aspiration and to use the office, when elected, to attract more development to Igueben Constituency.
"We are solidly behind you to ensure you fulfill your aspiration. Serve one tenure and advance fairness, justice, and good governance for Igueben Constituency,”_ he concluded.
