OUR DEFECTION IS NOT A THREAT TO APC, BUT A MOVE TO STRENGTHEN GOVERNOR OKPEBHOLO’S FOUNDATION” —RT HON. CHIEF EDIONWELE

Speaking on recent political realignments in Edo State, Rt. Hon. Chief Joseph Edionwele, the immediate past member of Federal House of Representatives clarified that their defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) should not be seen as a threat, but rather as a strategic step to consolidate and strengthen the foundation of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration.
"Our decision to join the APC is not borne out of rivalry or to threaten anyone. It is a deliberate move to unite with our brother, His Excellency Governor Monday Okpebholo, and strengthen the foundation he is laying for a greater Edo State,”_ he stated.
Chief Edionwele emphasized that Edo needs unity, not division, to achieve sustainable development. He called on all stakeholders to close ranks and support the governor’s vision for progress across Esan extraction and Edo State at large.
"We joined to add value, to build, and to ensure that the people of Edo benefit from purposeful governance.
