CHIEF HON. SUNNY IKPENONWEN CONGRATULATES TEGA PATRICK AMIEGBEBHOR AND COUNCILLORS-ELECT OF ESAN SOUTH EAST LGA
Hon. Sunny Ikpenonwen, member representing Esan South East Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, has congratulated the Chairman-Elect, Vice Chairman-Elect, and 10 Councillors-Elect of Esan South East Local Government Area on their victory in the July 11, 2026 Local Government Elections in Edo State.
Hon. Ikpenonwen, who is also the APC candidate for a third term to represent Esan South East Constituency, described the outcome of the election as a clear demonstration of the people’s trust in the APC and in the capacity of the elected officials to provide purposeful and accountable leadership at the grassroots.
“The massive support recorded across the 10 wards of Esan South East reflects the electorate’s desire for continuity, development, and responsive governance that will directly impact our communities,” he said.
The lawmaker noted that local government remains the closest tier of government to the people, and charged the new council leadership with the responsibility to deliver on key areas including infrastructure, healthcare, education, security, youth and women empowerment, agriculture, and economic development.
“This mandate comes with great responsibility. I urge the Chairman-Elect and Councillors-Elect to embrace inclusive governance, transparency, and collaboration with the Edo State Government to bring more development to Esan South East,” Hon. Ikpenonwen stated.
He commended the leadership of the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his Renewed Hope Agenda and for creating the enabling environment for peaceful and credible elections. He also reaffirmed support for the actualization of 2.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term bid in 2027.
“I reaffirm my commitment to the people of Esan South East. My office will continue to work closely with Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo and the newly elected Chairman to attract projects and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every community in our constituency,” he added.
Hon. Ikpenonwen wished the incoming council a successful and impactful tenure.
