HAMILTON OKOIDA, CEO EMIRATE OIL & GAS CONGRATULATES HON. TEGA PATRICK AND OTHER ELECTED OFFICIALS ON VICTORY IN ESAN SOUTH EAST LGA
In a statement, Okoida noted that the peaceful conduct of the election is a testament to the growing political maturity of the people of Esan South East Local Government Area and Edo State at large, and their commitment to democratic values.
Edo State witnessed another milestone in democratic governance with the successful conduct of the local government council elections across the 18 Local Government Areas. The exercise was largely peaceful and recorded a massive turnout of voters who came out to elect representatives at the grassroots.
Okoida particularly hailed the leadership style of the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, for their commitment to inclusive governance and respect for democratic institutions, which he said created the enabling environment for the success of the elections.
He congratulated the newly elected and returning Council Chairmen, the *Vice Chairman-Elect*, and *Councillors-Elect across the 10 Wards of Esan South East Local Government Council*. He urged them to see their victory as a call to service.
The Emirate Oil & Gas CEO charged the new council officials to prioritize the welfare of the people, drive development at the grassroots, and align with the vision of the state government.
Local government remains the closest tier of government to the people and must deliver tangible dividends of democracy,” he stated.
Okoida expressed optimism that with the right leadership at the local level and the support of the state government, Edo State will continue to experience progress in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and youth empowerment.
He called on all stakeholders to support the new councils in order to build a stronger and more prosperous Edo State.
