Sunny Ojiezua Ojiezele, Ikpenonwen, Member representing Esan South East Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, on his emergence as the Majority Leader of the 8th Assembly, 2026
Comrade Kingsley Okoirhon, described Hon. Ikpenonwen's elevation as a clear demonstration of the people’s trust in the All Progressives Congress, APC, and in his capacity for purposeful leadership in politics and community development. The lawmaker who is also the APC candidate for a third term to represent Esan South East Constituency 2027, election.

The Publisher noted that the legislature remains critical to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people. Comr. Kingsley also stated that
"special attention should be given to Emu Community, Ward 5, which has the highest voter population with 23 units and comprises four communities: Emu, Okhuesan, Orowa, and Iyenlen in Esan South East LGA."
Comr. Kingsley Okoirhon, the immediate past National Youth President of Emu, further commended the Governor for his proactive efforts in reducing insecurity challenges in Esan South East Local Government Area, particularly in Ward 5, Emu Community, and where over 3 youths have reportedly been killed by suspected kidnappers/herdsmen. The crisis has also affected farmers, market women, and travelers on the axis to Delta State, with some victims’ families still paying loan ransom to date.
He prayed for a successful and impactful tenure for the Majority Leader, expressing confidence that Hon. Ojiezele will do more for his people, especially with a worthy son of Esanland, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, as Governor of Edo State.
