MASSIVE BOOST FOR APC AS ‘ALHAJI DOLLARS’ JOINS PROGRESSIVE FOLD IN UROMI
UROMI, EDO STATE – The political landscape of Esan North-East Local Government Area witnessed a major shift as renowned business mogul and philanthropist, Prince Godwin Agbonkhese, popularly known as Alhaji Dollars with his followers across the various wards in Esan North East, Uromi and Uzea officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently.
in Ward 11, Uromi, was marked by joyous celebration and was described by party leaders as a significant boost to the APC ahead of future elections.
Receiving him at the ward reception, Rt. Hon. Maria Omonzele Edeko, member representing Esan North-East Constituency II in the Edo State House of Assembly, described Alhaji Dollars as a phenomenal entrepreneur whose love for the people is unmatched.
She noted that his philanthropic efforts have transformed many lives and that his entry into the APC will strengthen and restore the party’s capacity to deliver the 2.5 million votes promised to *President Bola Ahmed Tinubu* by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
Also speaking, Ward 11 Councillor-elect, Prince Marcus Omoifoh, welcomed the defection, describing Alhaji Dollars as a selfless leader and dangerous giver” whose generosity has impacted countless families. He said the move further consolidates the party’s structure in the ward.

The momentum continued at the Esan North-East APC LGA Secretariat where Alhaji Dollars and his followers was formally received by top party leaders.

He assured him that the APC remains a united and caring family.
In a symbolic gesture, Alhaji Dollars was presented with the APC broom* to signify a new era of progress.

Speaking on his decision, Prince Godwin Agbonkhese* said his defection was driven by the visible achievements of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s “Shine Agenda” particularly in infrastructure and security.
“I am a lover of progress, excellence, and true community development. That is why my support base and I have joined the APC today,” he said. “Together, we will deliver the 2.5 million votes promised to our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and ensure Edo continues to shine brighter.”
