..Award Recognises Commitment to SHINE Agenda and Accessible Healthcare for All Edo Residents
In furtherance of the Edo State Government's  SHINE Agenda to strengthen healthcare delivery, the Director-General of the Edo State Health Insurance Commission (EDOHIC), Dr. Augusta Ikpea-Enaholo, has been honoured with the prestigious Integrity Stewardship Service Ambassador Award.
The award, conferred by the Advocacy for Peace and Value Reorientation, Abuja, celebrates Dr. Ikpea-Enaholo's exemplary leadership, administrative discipline, strong work ethics, and unwavering commitment to making quality healthcare accessible to every Edo resident.
Leadership Driving Public Health Awareness
Presenting the award at the Commission's headquarters in Benin City, the Executive Director of the organization, Comrade Abubakar A. Oyibo, said the recognition is part of its governance assessment programme that celebrates MDAs demonstrating ethical responsibility and impactful service delivery, particularly in health and education reforms.
Comrade Oyibo noted that Dr. Augusta Ikpea-Enaholo has distinguished herself beyond administrative duties by championing public health education, building public confidence in the health insurance scheme, and empowering residents especially vulnerable groups  to know, claim and utilize their health insurance rights at Primary Healthcare Centres across the state.
He commended her strict compliance with work ethics and alignment with Governor Monday Okpebholo's SHINE Agenda, which has helped remove financial barriers to healthcare.
Commitment to Wider Coverage
Receiving the award, Dr. Ikpea-Enaholo thanked the organization for the recognition, describing it as a call to do more.
She attributed the successes of EDOHIC to the visionary leadership and enabling environment provided by the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and to the dedication and professionalism of the EDOHIC team.
"This award will further strengthen our resolve to expand health insurance coverage, intensify public awareness, and ensure no Edo resident is denied needed healthcare because of financial constraints, she said.

Chief (Elder) Patrick Agbator, JP, a Philanthropist has handed over the Emaudo Community Police Station to the Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, marking a significant step towards addressing security challenges in Emaudo and surrounding communities. The station will cover Emaudo, Ihumudumu, Egoro Emede, Agric Farm Settlement, Ukhun, and Idoa, enhancing security operations and rapid response.
