JUST IN: Comrade Kingsley Okoirhon, Emu Youth Development Association President with his team have inspected the on-going Emu-Ohordua Flood and Gully Alleviation and Remediation Works being Constructed by Levant Construction Company Limited.
It was on the 12th of August, 2021, when the Emu Youths
made an urgent visit to the Government House to seek proper attention in order to correct the errors made by Levant Construction Company.
After much investigation "We discovered that the civil engineering work was so poor and far below our expectations.
This was the reason why the youths reacted and vowed that '' the construction company must go back to its drawing board and correct the errors.
In addition to the same issue, on the 8th of October, 2021, the NEWMAP Director and the Managing Director of the Construction Company called the Emu Youth President, Comrade Kingsley Okoirhon to review the affected areas which needed to be corrected, and this we did just recently.
Engr. Garrick, the Managing Director of the Levant Construction Company welcomed Comrade Kingsley Okoirhon, the youth leader at the site of the on-going project, while giving explanations on the affected areas that needed to be addressed.
Also Engr. Garrick commended the Emu Youths for their maturity and higher level of understandings.
He said ''these errors were supposed to have been discussed by the community, during the first phase, while Mr.John Igiebor the chairman community organizing committee debunked the rumors, that they have made several efforts to present the actual plan on the project to the Newmap, but all the exercise was fruitless.
'' l am proud of him, i pray for God to strengthen and courage to achieve his goals for the betterment of Emu kingdom' he said.
Further questions, Engr. Garrick added that the process in that of the ten check drains at the Utor River side, which is the boundry between Emu and Ohordua kingdoms, was stopped, due to the rainy season,
that they are fully back to site now, to complete the affected areas, with the Edo State Nigeria Erosion & Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) directives.
''As you can recall, Dr.Tom Obaseki, the newly appointed Director of NEWMAP who promised to review or inspect the works done so far, and dialogue with the community for proper agreement, during the first visit, led by Comrade Kingsley Okoirhon and his team of the Emu Youth Development Association, Benin Branch, Edo State, Nigeria.
The Youth leader, also signed up new agreement with the Construction Company to grade the Oboh/Okede street road that leads to Ohordua for safety purpose and to bursting the political and socio-economic development in Emu kingdom.

A number of issues affecting Emu flood gully project were delibrated and agreed on, with the Levant Director and also signed the letter of recommendation to assist the dualization of the Emu Youth Hall Proposed new Site at Ugun, beside Late Chief John Obinyan's House, in Emu kingdom.
Mr President elect used the opportunity to re-assured that Emu indigenes of his resolve to work selflessly, and to attract new development, to take the community socio-political and economic height.
He also vowed to monitor the affected areas and the total completion of the project with a view to getting the right civil engineering standard achieved.
Comrade Kingsley, appreciate the Director of the Construction Company and the Newmap Director, Dr. Obaseki, for accepting the special requests for the affected areas that needed to be done.
Engr. Garrick who also gave the Youth National President the opportunity to appoint workers from the five Quarters that make up Emu kingdom.
