There was jubilation at the Uromi police station this morning when news broke of a Fulani individual being killed by local vigilantes after a shootout. One suspect was killed, while three others escaped.

It was reported that the gunmen had invaded the Amedokhian farm roads near the National Institute of Construction Technology Management (NICTM), leaving the community deserted.

This incident follows months of kidnappings that have terrorized the school community from Amedokhian to Ugboha kingdom. In response, the local government chairman, Hon. Dr. Kelly Inegbebor, had redeployed new groups of vigilantes, police, and army personnel to monitor the area.
