Dr. Leemon Ikpea Lays Foundation Of Modern Health Facility In His Home Town

The Chairman Managing Director of Lee Engineering Group and Allied Companies Ltd and founder, Agbonjagwe Leemon Ikpea Foundation, Chief Dr leemon Agbonjagwe Ikpea, in order to give back to the society, has laid the foundation of a modern health facility in his home town, Ewatto in Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State.
The business colossus who said he his lost his mother 50 years ago and his father over 40 years ago, said it occurred to him that in his own home town, there is no good health facilities that could take care of the health needs of his people and that building one for them will reduce the burden they have to bear in seeking for medical services in the neighbouring cities or towns.

Dr. Ikpea added that the modern health facility that is sole funded by him is going to be equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities and with an administrative block and theatre.
“I am laying a foundation of a modern health centre here in Ewatto. It is going to be having 62 beds and administrative block too.
"I know for sure that when this project is completed, it is going to solve the problem faced by my people here in the community.
“They will no longer be traveling to distance places to seek for medical attention but they will have it here.
“And by the time this project is completed here, it will open up this community. People from other neighbouring cities and towns will come here for their health needs.
“It will open up this community because people will like to come here and build hotels and other things that will make this community more develop than as it is now”, Ikpea said.
He appealed to the people of the community to provide a friendly environment for those working on the project in order for them to complete it in record time.
The business magnet also called on his people to always put him, his family and the country in their prayers so that everything will work out as planned.
On the part of the contractor, Surveyor Anthony Igini, he said the building which is going to be having children, male, female, maternity, and emergency wards making about 62 beds, will be completed within the space of eight months.
Recall that in 2012, Dr. Ikpea set up a foundation called Agbonjagwe Leemon IKPEA foundation, which he uses to fund the educational needs of the less privileged in the society.
He has used the foundation to train over 2000 persons in various universities and it is still counting.
Present at the ground breaking ceremony were, his wife, Mrs. Justina Ikpea , Hon. Joe Ikpea, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and his wife, the Medical Director, Irrua Specialist Hospital, Professor Reuben A. Eifediyi, HRH Osagie Ikhumhen JP, the Onojie of Ewatto Kingdom.
The sons and daughters of the community both far and near were also present at the epoch making ceremony.
