OKOSODO FOUNDATION LAYS FOUNDATION FOR MODERN EVENT CENTER AT MOPOL 82 BARRACK DIVISIONAL, IN UROMI
The landmark event brought together royalty, police officers, community leaders, and residents to witness what many described as "another testimony of the generosity of Uromi people."
Representing the initiator of the project, Chief Dr. Owi Franklin Okosodo, the Omozoya of Ekpoma Kingdom was his father, Chief Okosodo Okoh, the Eni of Uromi Kingdom and Founder of the Okosodo Family Foundation.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Okosodo, the Eni of Uromi Kingdom, said he came straight from Port Harcourt, River State to perform the groundbreaking on behalf of his son, who is currently out of the country.
"My son would have been here himself. But he called me as the founder of the Okosodo Foundation to lay this foundation for him.
This project is his way of supporting government and giving back to the community," that the government can't do it alone, he said.
Chief Eni disclosed that the multi-million naira project is scheduled for completion and commissioning in December 2026,to coincide with his 70th birthday celebration in grand style.

Chief Okosodo Eni who represented stated that "this modern Event Center will give Mopol 82 Barrack a new look. It is to support the government not for profit, neither politics, it is to also reduce the stress of our police officers, create a good environment, and bring development closer to the people of Uromi and Esanland at large,".

Chief Dr. Owi Franklin Okosodo, is the Managing Director of Calibration And Non-Destructive Services Limited, a renowned indigenous oil servicing company providing global standard Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation services across both upstream and downstream operations.

Chief Dr.Owi Okosodo has continued the good legacy of his father. A dogged human rights crusader, a business merchant that renders services for social justice.
He has become a source of pride and inspiration, a young business icon and philanthropist whose generosity to youths, women, education, and community development has earned him great respect.
Through the Okosodo Family Foundation, he has executed life-changing projects, including the recent solar-powered borehole for Idisaba-Ubierumu Community Uromi, Edo State, Nigeria, commissioned under the Esan traditional rulers led by the Onojie of Uromi Kingdom and other dignitaries .
