OKOSODO FOUNDATION LAYS FOUNDATION FOR MODERN EVENT CENTER AT MOPOL 82 DIVISIONAL,IN UROMI

UROMI, EDO STATE –It was a remarkable great day to the spirit of giving and community development shone bright again in Esanland as the Okosodo Foundation* laid the foundation for a *modern Event Center at Mopol 82 Divisional District, Idisaba-Ibierumu, Uromi*, in Esan North-East Local Government Area.

The landmark event brought together royalty, police officers, community leaders, and residents to witness what many described as "another testimony of the generosity of Uromi people."

Representing the initiator of the project, Chief Dr. Owi Franklin Okosodo, the Omozoya of Ekpoma Kingdom was his father, Chief Okosodo Okoh, the Eni of Uromi Kingdom and Founder of the Okosodo Foundation.  

Addressing the gathering, Chief Okosodo, the Eni of Uromi Kingdom, said he came straight from Port Harcourt, River State to perform the groundbreaking on behalf of his son, who is currently out of the country. 
"My son would have been here himself. But he called me as the founder of the Okosodo Foundation to lay this foundation for him. This project is his way of supporting government and giving back to the community," that the government can't do it alone, he said.

Chief Eni disclosed that the multi-million naira project is scheduled for completion and commissioning in December 2026,to coincide with his 70th birthday celebration.  
"This modern Event Center will give Mopol 82 a new look. It is not for profit. It is to reduce the stress of our police officers, create a good environment, and bring development closer to the people of Uromi and Esanland at large,".

*Chief Dr. Owi Franklin Okosodo* is the Managing Director of *Calibration And Non-Destructive Services Limited*, a renowned indigenous oil servicing company providing global standard Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation services across both upstream and downstream operations.

A product of Lumen Christi International High School, Uromi, *Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma*, *Oxford University, UK*, and *Harvard University, USA*, Chief Owi Okosodo has continued the good legacy of his father.

He has become a source of pride and inspiration a young business icon and philanthropist whose generosity to youths, women, education, and community development has earned him great respect.

Through the Okosodo Foundation, he has executed life-changing projects, including the recent solar-powered borehole for Idisaba-Ubierumu Community.

Chief Eni of Uromi Kingdom, Okosodo Okoh appealed to the community to provide a peaceful environment for the contractors. He also thanked *His Royal Majesty, Anselm Eidenojie II, the Ojuromi of Uromi Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Anselm Eidenojie 11 the Onojie of Uromi Kingdom, for creating an enabling environment for development. He also extend the unity to the community leaders to pray for their children to succeed in life for this generation and other communities across the Esan extraction to emulate Uromi as business center.

The Commander of Mopol 82, ACP Ebi Okoyen while receiving the delegation, described Chief Dr. Owi Okosodo as "an asset to Esan people. 
"This uncommon philanthropic gesture will be cherished by our officers. We pray God continues to bless the Okosodo family," he said.
