VIVIAN ADEBAYO OKOJIE LAUNCHES FOUNDATION, TARGETS EDUCATION FOR ORPHANS, EMPOWERMENT FOR UNDER PRIVILEGED, WIDOWS

Mrs. Vivian Okojie has said that the predominant objective of launching

EVIM OKOJIE FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization was to

cater for the need of the underprivileged members of the society.

She made this assertion at the launching of EVIM OKOJIE FOUNDATION last Sunday, the 4th of September 2022 at

White Hart Hotels and Apartment, Wuse District, Abuja, the federal Capital Territory.

According to her, "my commitments towards supporting humanity started at a very tender age and the vision is to create a brighter future for the orphans and the underprivileged children and widows by providing modern necessities such as formal education through scholarships, educational materials for orphans and underprivileged children as well as providing vocational skills".

"With poverty being a major obstacle to accessing education, health care and vocational skills in Nigeria, the foundation is  inspired by the mission of building  bridges for and advancing inclusion for orphans, underprivileged widows and children regardless of their political, religious and cultural backgrounds".

"To facilitate this, the foundation will explore  areas like Education, human capital development, Health Care, Enlightenment and Advocacy".

She further explained that part of the objective was to create an enabling environment for the less privileged of the society

Empowering widows to foster socio-economic status and general well-being in order to have an equal opportunity in the society is another core dream of the Executive Director.

In her key note address,  she pointed out that, "the importance of monitoring beneficials or stakeholders was overemphasized as a key component in achieving the goals of the organization".

To this end, Vivian Adebayo Okojie promised to pay keen attention on following up on the progress of the beneficiaries of their scholarships and empowerment programs in order to achieve the objectives of the project.

The event featured a fundraiser intended at soliciting for support from family, friends and well-wishers that are committed to supporting beneficiaries as a way of securing their future.

Meanwhile, Chief Dr. Mike Onolememen, the Adolor of Uromi Kingdom and a former Minister for Works and Housing, commend the founder  for actualising  this dream.

He has this to say, "one of the ways to keep treasure for yourself in heaven, is when you do some certain categories of good works".

"We should all endeavour to support such a worthy initiative".

Also speaking at the event, Engr. Henry  said'' honestly, I was told about this foundation, I was touched and I had to go on my knees  to thank God for a dream like this, because it takes one in a million  to have a dream like this and then, we are hatching it today.

It's a welcome development, we need to support and to encourage you on this to achieve your vision".

Fada Jude who was also present at the occasion stated '' that there is much more meaning to our lives when we contribute to something beyond us.

The World is looking for servants for our generation and Madam Vivian Adebayo Okojie is just that person and I really appreciate her efforts, and encourage others to contribute to the dream that comes true".

The event which was anchored by comedian Ajebo attracted  distinguished personalities  like Former Minster of works, Chief Dr. Mike Onolememen,  Lady Bibian Onolememen, Prince Eric Adebayo Okojie, Rev. Fr. Paul Salami, Rev. Fr. Jude Oniah, Rev Fr. Osita Eze, Prince. Philip Okojie.

Others are Dr. Jimoh Abubakar, Director, Public Affairs NAFDAC, Mr. & Mrs. Ken Onolememen, Martha Tawiyah, Convener of  MumBooth Empowerment initiative, Engr. & Mrs. Henry Ojilka. Mr. Xia Jiang, Mr. Avertse Emmanuel, representative  of Nigeria Red Cross Society amongst others.

The general consensus is that the founder  has been known for her humanitarian tendencies as well as services and EVIM OKOJIE FOUNDATION, will not only just make it official but they believe it will give more substance and credence to her humanitarian services generally.
